Economic success through tech education.
Our 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit designation shows approval by the Internal Revenue Service that an organization is not-for-profit and is exempt from paying federal income tax. To qualify for the 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit classification, we carry out the educational activities to improve individuals’ capabilities and provide public education on items that are beneficial to the community.
It has a tradition of hosting tech conferences, hackathon competitions, tech meetups, and short-term training. It is the home to OC Java User Group, OC Python User Group, OC R User Group, OC security group, OC AI group… too many to list. It is operated with help of altruistic techie volunteers who want to do good things for others. For its effort, PeopleSpace is;
- recognized by the California State Assembly in 2014.
- voted The Entrepreneur of Year by The Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
- became the Official certifying organization of The President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2018.
- visited by over 1,000 patrons each year.
